AXA Agency Bashing

Image result for abused your staffAgency leaders are petrified at the prospect of attending the monthly agency meeting with their company officers. This meeting is mandatory and agency leaders who are absent will be subject to penalty, suspension and termination.

Warm-Up
Agency meeting normally started-off highlighting underperforming agency leaders. The objective is to humiliate under-achievers. Names calling and sarcasm are hurled in the public with total disrespect for the underperformers.

Blame-Up
The meeting quickly deteriorated with the company officers dumping the blames on agency leaders.  Underperformers are branded as traitor and scolded for betraying the company. Disrespectful & derogatory words are repeatedly impounded into agency leaders’ head - including – low commitment, kurang ajar, pengkhianat, penderhaka, lousy leadership & JAMBAN (shit-house)!

New Contest
A new contest with extremely short period is then announced to squeeze production from agency. Agency leaders (and their agents) are strongly “encouraged” to participate in this contest or face the wrath of the company. Short period contest are tailored to ensure it is difficult to qualify. Without surprise, most agents failed to qualify & ended-up paying a heavy penalty. The cost of the trip is heavily inflated well above market rate and is deducted from agent’s monthly commission.

Fear Management
Meeting ends with company officers adopting the standard fear management tactic. Agency leaders are reminded to meet the target or face severe consequences. This includes – withdrawal of benefit, marginalization, penalty, suspension, demotion and termination.

Every agency meeting makes the agency leaders more anxious and fearful of the company. Axa officers mistook derogatory words for inspiration, mistook fear for obedience and mistook bullying for motivation. This meeting is not helping agency’s productivity. Instead it is fear and poisoning the agency. Agency - you can stop the humiliation. Say NO to bully!! Pack your bag and join another insurer who respects you.
