AXA Bully Management

Image result for dictatorAXA agency leader development program is “SIN BIN”. Sin Bin is the brainchild of the AXA CAO. Sin Bin is designed to penalize underperforming agency leader who failed to produce RM30,000 premium in a month. At Sin Bin, agency leaders are virtually locked in a “dark room” for 8 hours. CAO and his officers take turn to abuse, humiliate & threaten the attendees. Agency leaders that refuse to attend Sin Bin are suspended and terminated.

If the schoolyard is the stomping ground of bully boys and bully girls, then AXA office is the playground of adult bullies. Bully seeks to make his subordinate staff/agency feels uncomfortable, inadequate, sad or angry. Bully - tends to invoke negative emotions among subordinates.

Disrespect - every AXA staff/ agency has a war story to share. The CAO likes to whatapps you at midnight to the wee hours in the morning and expecting you to response immediately. Staff/agency that failed to response - are branded (in capital letter) - as Penderhaka, Pengkianat, Traitor, kurang ajar or Jamban (shit-house). Bullies don't recognize their impoliteness and they don't apologize.

Hurt, Humiliate & Intimidate - bullies do a lot of damage in organizations. They make staff/agency run scared. They put people in a protective mode, which interferes with the company's ability to motivate its staff/agency. The objective of bullying is to hurt someone, lashing out at them, being inconsistent and chipping away at their confidence. Bullies erode staff and agency productivity and judgment.

Basically bully is insecure, insensitive and suffers from inferiority complex. They don't see themselves accurately but assumes they better than others - which acts to justify their bullying.

When a bully is allowed to remain in place, it means the leaders above him are supporting him. If those in charge look the other way while a bully is abusing people, then they are the real culprits.  If the top management is afraid of the bully - that can be another reason this bully is allowed to continue.

Attempts from staff and agency to enlighten this person will usually be fruitless. Never tolerate a bully - even if you have to quit. I firmly believe that it’s never okay to be in an abusive relationship. If your business is slowly eroding away your overall health and well-being, then it’s just not worth it anymore.
